In 2022 Brussels saw the rise of its first film festival entirely dedicated to alternative pornography. With more than 100 films in exhibition, the festival presented a diverse program showing the different faces, bodies, practices and colors of alternative pornography, breaking the barriers between ‘traditional’ cinema and the most explicit and watched cinematographic genre in the world. With a program divided into two of the most traditional alternative cinemas in the country, Cinema Nova and Aventure, the festival received a total of 2134 spectators during its 4 days.
